Bridge Fabrication Projects
Our bridge portfolio covers billion-dollar span replacements and historic restorations across the Northeast United States region. Each project required custom railings, steel framing, and bridge materials built to the owner’s specifications.
The New Goethals Bridge, a $1.5 billion replacement of the 85-year-old crossing between Staten Island and New Jersey, called for over 14,000 feet (4,267 meters) of single-tube, double-tube, and elliptical bridge railing. The scope also included more than 200 barrier boxes.
On the New Tappan Zee Bridge, the largest bridge construction effort in New York State history at $4 billion, we delivered fully assembled pier cap walkway modules and over 2,500 heavy-duty mechanical steel standpipe brackets for vital fire protection and suppression.
Our fabrication expertise is demonstrated across key regional bridges:
- Brooklyn Bridge NYC Rehabilitation ($508M). Supplied ornamental railings, picket fencing, and permanent steel traffic barriers.
- Manhattan Bridge NYC Rehabilitation ($920M). Fabricated riveted-construction railing for the North bicycle path along with 1.6 million pounds of structural steel.
- Benjamin Franklin Bridge PA ($150M). Manufactured 36 stainless steel chambers (up to 9 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft.), walkway supports, and fixation channels.
- Willis Avenue Bridge NYC ($600M). Delivered two-rail bridge railing, 6,000 ft. of picket fencing, and 1,300 ft. of stainless steel handrail.
- Wurts Street NY Suspension Bridge. Provided over 4,000 ft. of picket-style pedestrian railing and replacement mesh panels.
Third-Rail Transit Materials and Signal Infrastructure
Beyond bridges, we manufacture a full line of third-rail transit materials for electrified rail networks. These transit rail projects cover contact rail components, signal platforms, cable tray systems, and power distribution assemblies for rail yards, mainline corridors, and new extensions.
For the No. 7 Line Extension in New York City, we supplied power distribution products, signal cages, cable trays, fittings, and third-rail track materials, including brackets, protection boards, and insulators. Additionally, for the No. 7 Flushing Line CBTC Signal Modernization—covering 9.4 miles of active subway between Times Square and Flushing, Queens—our team delivered stainless steel and aluminum cable tray, messenger brackets, signal platforms, and power distribution hardware.
At Corona Yard in Queens, New York, we furnished third-rail covers, brackets, power distribution equipment, and fabricated track pedestals for the train car shop. The East 180th Street Yard project in the Bronx matched that scope with cable tray in stainless steel and aluminum, messenger brackets, signal platforms, and power distribution components to support a new signal system.
The JFK AirTrain ranks among our most recognized transit rail projects. This $1.9 billion, 8.1-mile (13-kilometer) light rail system required 142,000 feet of guard rail, aluminum and stainless steel cable tray at each station, and structural steel at Jamaica Station (LIRR) and Howard Beach Station (NYCTA). The NYCT King’s Highway Interlocking signal modernization in Brooklyn added signal platforms, cages, cable tray and fittings, messenger brackets, and contact rail apertures to our transit portfolio.
