DC Traction Power Distribution

Since converting from AC to DC results in significant energy loss, DC power systems are a more efficient and environmentally friendly transit solution. Direct current systems offer high torque at startup and accommodate precision speed control during operation, making them the ideal option for many transit applications.

Fire-Rated NEMA 4X Boxes
As a leader in fire-rated electrical enclosures, Selco was the first manufacturer in the world to offer FHIT-certified cable in-conduit solutions. Our fire-rated NEMA 4X boxes are UL certified and pass the two-hour fire-rated endurance test specified under UL 2196 and ASTM E119 standards. Our solutions are manufactured using grade 304 stainless steel and flame-rated silicone gaskets.
